ANTHS Vision Statement

ANTHS is a community which recognizes and develops the potential of its students. ANTHS pioneers revolutionary approaches to assist in making successful transitions in every phase of life.

The community consists of educators, students, parents and community members: supportive, interactive, interdependent and collaborative groups partnering for mutual progress and growth. The community fosters carefully crafted education innovation. The community exists in a dynamic, vibrant and nurturing environment, values of diversity and is characterized by an appreciation for the role of change in the process.

The community recognizes and develops the potential of each student by recognizing and addressing the idea that students have diverse needs; every student has a unique voice, a different developmental rate, different learning modalities, different backgrounds and a common capacity to be challenged, and to learn. Students are personally connecting with others in and out of the community. The community teaches and facilitates success in transitions at all levels of the educational process. The community monitors, regularly evaluates and carefully analyzes its progress, adjusting its approach as necessary.

The community embraces revolutionary strategies to assist all students in the learning process. New and flexible educational models and ideas are utilized to meet contemporary educational and societal demands. The community values the appropriate use of contemporary technology.

ANTHS students utilize effective problem solving strategies to understand how to make successful transitions into the classroom, from one class to another, over the course of the school year, from one year to another, and from school to the world of work and advanced education.
